Growing a Holistic Wellness Destination with SBA Financing

For Jessica Carmon, wellness has always been about more than skincare. It's about helping people reconnect with nature, nourish their bodies and embrace a more intentional approach to self-care. What began as a home-based business in 2021 has grown into Clean Beauty Bham, a holistic spa in Vestavia Hills that serves as the home of the ReSourced Apothecary lab. Through Clean Beauty Bham, Jessica offers holistic esthetic services alongside handcrafted herbal skincare products, custom tea blends and educational experiences for clients throughout the Birmingham area.

Rooted in the belief that plants and the body work together in harmony, Jessica has built Clean Beauty Bham around thoughtfully crafted products, personalized care and whole-body wellness. The spa provides a welcoming space where clients can experience holistic treatments while also shopping the full line of ReSourced Apothecary botanical skincare products created on-site. Her commitment to quality, education and natural wellness has earned a loyal following of clients seeking healthier alternatives that support lasting balance.

"I've always believed that true wellness starts by listening to our bodies, to nature and to what we truly need," Jessica says. "My goal has never been to simply sell products. I want every client to leave feeling cared for, empowered and connected to a healthier way of living."

As demand for her services and products continued to grow, Jessica recognized it was time to invest in the future of Clean Beauty Bham. Opening the holistic spa created a permanent home for the ReSourced Apothecary lab while allowing her to expand esthetic services, increase production of botanical skincare products and offer clients a destination where they could experience every aspect of her wellness philosophy under one roof.

To support that vision, Central State Bank partnered with Alliance Capital Corporation, serving as the Lender Service Provider, to obtain SBA financing for the expansion. Alliance Capital provided SBA financing guidance, loan packaging support and coordination throughout the process. The resulting $77,400 SBA 7(a) loan will fund improvements to Clean Beauty Bham in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, including space for the ReSourced Apothecary lab, along with equipment purchases, inventory and working capital to support the company's continued growth.

The expansion will allow ReSourced Apothecary to increase service capacity, enhance the customer experience and establish a stronger retail presence while maintaining the flexibility needed to continue growing. It also creates opportunities to expand production of Jessica's proprietary herbal products while introducing new wellness offerings and educational programming for the community.

Today, Jessica continues to lead every aspect of the business with the same passion that inspired its founding. From developing small-batch botanical products to providing holistic esthetic services and sharing her knowledge through wellness education, she remains committed to helping clients experience the restorative benefits of plant-based care.

With support from Central State Bank and SBA financing coordination from Alliance Capital Corporation, Clean Beauty Bham is well positioned for its next chapter. The expansion provides the foundation for future hiring, increased production of ReSourced Apothecary products and continued innovation while allowing Jessica to stay true to the mission that has guided her business from the very beginning.
